Hello, my name is Gary and I’m a leader. I have had the privilege of leading multiple teams over the course of my career ranging from seasonal staff and volunteers at summer camps to highly skilled and experienced professionals in leadership/organization development to multidisciplinary, clinical teams. I can honestly say that I’ve learned more from them than I’m sure they learned from me.
Growing up on my grandparent’s dairy farm in Kentucky became the foundation of my being. There are countless leadership lessons learned on the farm which my good friend Ramon says are relevant and worth telling…he seems to think the connection between shoveling cow poop being preparation for corporate America is quite strong.
I’ve earned an undergrad degree from Lindsey Wilson College in Human Services and Counseling, a master’s degree from now defunct Mountain State University (they lost their accreditation in part due to a lack of leadership – how ironic), and I am a doctoral candidate for a PhD in Leadership and Education from Barry University.
